If you are using MS-Word, while you are starting a new document, go to the font option in the tool bar. This will display all the fonts available in the system. If you have installed Meetei Mayek, it should appear in the list. Choose this font and simply start typing, using the Meetei Mayek key associations.
The text will appear in Meetei script as you type. You can use bold, italic, underline mode as usual. Rest everything is as usual, including the font size and color. For convenience, you should switch off automatic spell-check in your word processor. And of course, you will get great printouts with your inkjet or laser printer.
In most Windows e-mail softwares like Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegausus Mail etc, you can send and receive mail in Meetei Mayek. You need to have installed Meetei Mayek font first.
While typing a mail, use the font option to change the font to Meetei Mayek and start typing. Text will appear in Meetei script as you type. Send this mail normally. You can change the font to type English text in between, if you so wish.
For receiving a mail in Meetei Mayek you do not need to do anything special, other than installing Meetei Mayek font in your computer. When you open a mail which has been typed using Meetei Mayek font, it will automatically be displayed in Meetei Mayek.
If you use an HTML editor like MS-Frontpage, Netscape Composer or Hotdog, typing anything in Meetei Mayek is straightforward - just choose the font from the menu and start typing, provided, of course, you have installed the Meetei Mayek font.
If you write HTML in a text editor, use the tag
<font face="Meetei Mayek"> and then type
the text using the appropriate key-associations. For example, using
<font face="Meetei Mayek"> IyeC Ipi </font>

Meetei Mayek can be easily used in any text processing software, for example Word Pad or Note Pad.
