A simple example of a Fractal

The object in the picture below is a strange one. Notice that if you magnify any of the small triangles, you get back to the original big triangle! In other words, this object is self similar. Self similarity is an important property of fractal objects. Check this out by zooming into the picture below.

You can go on zooming in to an infinite number of levels, and the object will still look the same!
